Angie’s Story
I am deeply committed to providing compassionate, knowledgeable advocacy that puts clients’ needs first. In addition to my extensive medical and advocacy credentials, my lived experience has prepared me to be a strong, empathetic partner for individuals and families facing the challenges of today’s healthcare system.
When my dad was diagnosed with an aggressive brain cancer in 2021, our family was thrown into the chaos of the healthcare system — facing insurance denials, seeking second and third opinions, managing complications, juggling appointments and treatments, and coordinating transitions between the hospital, rehab centers, and home. On top of it all, we had to confront the emotional challenge of end-of-life paperwork, which led to some of the hardest conversations we ever had with my dad and among ourselves.
After seeing the healthcare industry from this perspective, I was inspired to start True North Patient Advocates, so my clients and their loved ones can have expert support, especially when times feel overwhelming.
And although my dad passed, his legacy lives on through this work.
